# Welcome to HomiAgent

> Talk to your Home Assistant through Telegram, in plain language.

HomiAgent is an AI assistant for your Home Assistant. You message it on Telegram the way you'd message a person, and it figures out which devices you mean and what to do with them.

## What you can ask

* "Make the living room cozy for movie night."
* "Which lights are on downstairs?"
* "What time was the garage light turned on yesterday?"
* "How did the bedroom temperature change overnight?"
* "Turn everything off and switch off the TV."

You can type or send a voice message. HomiAgent knows your rooms, devices, their current state, and the services they support, so you don't need to remember exact entity names. If a request could mean more than one thing, it asks you before doing anything.

## What's included

* **Natural-language control** of lights, switches, climate, media, and anything else Home Assistant exposes.
* **Text and voice messages** in Telegram.
* **History questions** about when something changed or how a sensor behaved over time.
* **Web search** when an answer needs current information, such as today's electricity rate. HomiAgent asks before it searches.
* **An interactive Telegram menu** for browsing rooms and controlling devices with buttons.
* **Hidden entities**, so you decide what the assistant can see.
* **Multiple homes** on one account.

## How your home stays private

You don't need to open router ports, have a public IP, or set up DNS, a reverse proxy, or a VPN. It also works behind CGNAT.

A small integration that you install in Home Assistant opens an encrypted connection **from** your home **to** HomiAgent. Nothing on the internet can reach your Home Assistant directly. HomiAgent can only act through that connection, and only on the entities you leave visible.

## Pricing

You pay only for the AI you use, with prepaid credits (1 credit = US\$1). Most short requests cost a small fraction of a credit. You can top up at any time from Telegram with `/buy`.
